🏈 Clark Judge of the Talk of Fame Network thinks former Steelers linebacker Andy Russell deserved more from Canton.

“Andy Russell deserved better,” Judge wrote.” The former Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker passed away last week at the age of 82, dropping the curtain on a life … and a pro football career … well-lived and well-played. I don’t know much about Russell off the field, but I do know what he did on it. And what he did was so exemplary that he merited more from the game he served than what he received. He merited the attention of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“In 12 seasons with the Steelers, he was a seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, team MVP and two-time Super Bowl winner. What he wasn’t … and never has been … was a finalist or semifinalist for Canton, and that’s more than a shame. … It’s a disgrace.”

🏈 Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt has more sacks (24.5) than Steelers quarterbacks have passing touchdowns over the last two seasons (24).

🏈 Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson tossed Steelers assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams during a drill at the NFL Combine.

🏈 93.7 The Fan: If the Steelers trade wide receiver Diontae Johnson, Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda thinks it would be for a third-rounder. Pauline reported on Sunday that the Steelers are open to moving Johnson if the compensation is right.

🏈 It was revealed on the Pat McAfee Show that new Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith shaved his mustache. “Mad Mel” Kiper told Smith at the NFL Combine if he wants anybody in Pittsburgh to respect him he needs to grow it back.

“Is there a city better suited for an offensive coordinator with an incredible mustache better than Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? There’s not,” McAfee said.

🏈 ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky thinks it’s a no-brainer for the Steelers to trade for Justin Fields.

“If you’re telling me the difference over the course of two years between Justin Fields and Kenny Pickett is $24 million, you go get Justin Fields,” Orlovsky said on Get Up.

🏈 Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown took another shot at Kenny Pickett.

🎂 Happy Birthday to former Steelers running back Rocky Bleier, born on March 5, 1946 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Bleier first joined the Steelers in 1968, but his time with the team was interrupted by his military service. Bleier was drafted into the Army on Dec. 4, 1968 and volunteered for infantry duty in South Vietnam.

He was wounded twice, taking a bullet in the thigh and then a grenade blast damaged his lower right leg and foot. Despite being told he would not be able to play football again, Bleier rejoined the Steelers in 1970 and resumed playing in the 1971 season.

Bleier played 10 more seasons after his wounds, rushing for 1,036 yards in 1976 to join backfield-mate Franco Harris in the 1,000-yard club, the second time in league history two teammates rushed for 1,000 yards in the same season.

Bleier was part of four Steelers Super Bowl winners and is a member of the team’s Hall of Honor.

🎥 Colin Cowherd of FS1 thinks the Steelers are a .500 team at best with Kenny Pickett. He believes Russell Wilson is the right fit for Pittsburgh.
