? Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson aligned under center on 41 of his 66 snaps in Sunday night’s win over the New York Jets, his highest under center rate in a game since 2016 (62.2%), according to Next Gen Stats. Wilson finished 8/9 for 150 yards on under center play-action dropbacks, the most such yards by a Steelers QB in the NGS era (since 2016).

? Russell Wilson is the first quarterback to lead the Steelers to 30+ points in his starting debut with the team since QB starts were first tracked in 1950, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

? Russell Wilson’s 264 passing yards are the most by a quarterback in their first game with the Steelers in franchise history. He surpassed Earl Morrall in 1957 (249 passing yards).

? Jets wide receiver Davante Adams said multiple times in the huddle today he looked around and was impressed by the players that the Jets feature on offense:

“That’s almost what pisses you off even more, knowing that you have those type of weapons and you come up short,” he said.

? Steelers slot cornerback Beanie Bishop is the first undrafted rookie in NFL history to have a multi-INT game against a multi-time former MVP QB, per OptaSTATs.

? You will not find T.J. Watt complaining about being 5-2.

? The Steelers’ 37 points in the win over the Jets are the most in a game since Week 11 of 2021 at L.A. Chargers (37). The 37-points scored are the most for the Steelers in a home game since Week 6 of 2020 vs. Cleveland (38).

? Former Steeler and current Carolina Panthers wide receiver, Diontae Johnson, called out his teammates for not giving enough effort in Sunday’s 40-7 loss to the Washington Commanders. The Panthers are now 1-6 on the season.  Johnson played despite being listed with an ankle and rib injuries. He had one catch for 17 yards in the loss.

“Frustrated, but I can’t play every position on the field and make every play,” Johnson said, via Joe Person of TheAthletic.com. “Everybody gotta do their job, when it comes down to it. Yeah, it’s tough, but I just tell myself to keep going regardless.”
