Pittsburgh sure seemed to welcome Taylor Swift when her Eras Tour came to town this summer and set the all-time attendance record for Acrisure Stadium, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But it seems that compared to the rest of the NFL fanbases, Steelers Nation has the fewest Swifties.

According to a study by BetOnline.ag of Instagram and Facebook accounts, just 5.09% of the Steelers’ followers also follow Taylor Swift. That is by far the lowest amount of any NFL fanbase.

The Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills are also in the bottom five of the fewest percentage of their fanbase that follows the pop icon on social media.

Unsurprisingly, the Kansas City Chiefs are at the very top of the list, with 22.31% of Chiefs fans following Swift. She became intertwined with NFL fandom last month when her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce became public. Swift has attended each of Kansas City’s last two games, watching from a box with Kelce’s mother, Donna and other friends.

The level of attention that Swift’s presence has brought to the NFL broadcasts has been significant, and some die-hard football fans have chafed at the time spent discussing the Pennsylvania-native singer and her dating life during broadcasts.

The Tennessee Titans (Swift lives in Nashville), Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams are also in the top five NFL fanbases with Swift crossover fans. Swift has a combined over 300 million followers between Facebook and Instagram.

As to why the Steelers are specifically so low on the list, it’s certainly not because there aren’t Swifties in Pittsburgh. Her two-night set was sold out both nights, with resale ticket prices at astronomical levels. The Saturday night show set the Acrisure Stadium record with 73,117 in attendance. Both shows saw people flood the North Shore lawns and parking lots, Point State Park and even the rivers, as those without tickets sought to hear some of her career-spanning setlist.

The Steelers do have a large international following, especially in Mexico. Swift played in Mexico for the first time in her career in August. It could be that Spanish-speaking Steelers fans haven’t taken to Swift as enthusiastically as English speakers.
