Steelers Get Huge Injury News with Return of Two Starters

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers’ injury report on Tuesday was another estimated report as the group went through a walkthrough. Still, it was more encouraging than discouraging on a few fronts, but Najee Harris popped up with an unexpected knee injury. He missed practice.

However, Elandon Roberts (groin) and Isaac Seumalo (shoulder) returned to practice. That is a welcome sign for the Steelers who need help at inside linebacker. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin did not know how the rotation would shake out but figured Blake Martinez, Mykal Walker, and Myles Jack would all have to step up in some capacity.

“We’ll take it one day at a time,” Roberts said. “I’ve got one more day.”

Also on the offensive line, center Mason Cole was dealing with a neck injury and was limited. Nose tackle Keeanu Benton joined him in as questionable with an oblique injury. Meanwhile, Montravius Adams continued his upward trend and practiced fully. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick practiced fully with his broken left hand. Cornerback James Pierre did not practice once again with a shoulder injury that continues to limit him.
