PITTSBURGH — The Steelers will be without defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi and cornerback Levi Wallace on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ogunjobi suffered a knee injury in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but played through it against Miami. Still, Larry Ogunjobi will get the bye week to now rest the knee injury up as it seems to be a lingering issue for the standout defensive end. In his place, it should be Chris Wormley seeing more time for Pittsburgh moving forward.
Wallace suffered a shoulder injury late in the game against the Miami Dolphins. He will miss his second game this season after not playing against the Buccaneers with a concussion. Ahkello Witherspoon will return for the first time in four weeks to start opposite Cam Sutton with Wallace out. In sub packages, Sutton should slide inside and James Pierre should come in on the outside.
Kicker Chris Boswell popped up on the injury report with a groin injury and did not practice on Friday. He is questionable for the game.
Cornerback Josh Jackson has been limited with a groin injury for the majority of the week. He is listed as questionable after practicing in a limited fashion the last two days.
The Steelers are getting Witherspoon and Steven Sims back after both players missed last week’s game against the Dolphins. Still, the defense is banged up, and T.J. Watt’s return is still as murky as ever.
