Six Steelers Miss Practice to Start Week 3

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers open a new week with many questions about what the team will do moving forward. Minkah Fitzpatrick (chest) was released from the hospital on Tuesday morning, and while Mike Tomlin seemed optimistic about his inclusion in the game on Sunday, he missed Wednesday’s practice.

Of the known injuries, Elandon Roberts (stinger) did not show up on the report, showing he is a full participant and okay. Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (concussion) is recovering from a concussion but did not practice. Lastly, Larry Ogunjobi did not practice with a foot injury from training camp he is still dealing with.

However, multiple new injuries popped up. Markus Golden (knee) appeared on the report for the first time on Wednesday. He did not practice as part of the six players who did not practice due to injuries. Another starting safety, Damontae Kazee, suffered a calf injury and did not practice on Wednesday. Meanwhile, tight end Darnell Washington did not practice with a knee injury.

Guard Isaac Seumalo and cornerback Patrick Peterson did not practice with veteran’s days off.
