AT STAKE

The Steelers haven’t looked good through three games, but the game against the Jets represents be a crucial chance to even their record before the team hits the toughest stretch of their schedule.

TRANSACTIONS

The Steelers signed punter Jordan Berry and cornerback Mark Gilbert to their practice squad and released outside linebacker Delontae Scott and offensive lineman Ryan McCollum.

INJURY REPORT

CB Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) will not play. Levi Wallace and Cam Sutton will start outside, while Art Maulet will play in the slot.

FS Minkah Fitzpatrick (concussion), LG Kevin Dotson (ankle), punter Pressley Harvin III (left hip inflammation) and Sutton (groin) are expected to play.

Jets LB Quincy Williams (high ankle sprain) is out. CB Brandin Echols (hamstring) is questionable. DL John Franklin-Myers (toe) and QB Zach Wilson (knee) will play.

FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Wilson is making his return after missing the first three weeks of the season with a preseason knee injury. Veteran Joe Flacco played well in Wilson’s absence, but the Jets could not protect the veteran with little mobility. Flacco was sacked nine times. The hope in New York is that the more-mobile Wilson can move the offense forward.
