INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Steelers are back on top against the Rams 10-9 after a T.J. Watt interception, and Kenny Pickett touchdown powered them forward. On the first play of the second half, Watt dropped back into a shallow zone and hopped the choice route from Cooper Kupp, allowing him to get the pick off Matthew Stafford. Watt would return it down the six-yard line, where Pittsburgh would fight to get into the endzone.

After two plays, Najee Harris gained five yards. The first on a toss where he was bottled up. Then, he tightrope walked on the sideline, leaped towards the endzone, and came down just short. Pickett would then see the opening on the following play in the B-Gap as the Rams converged on both A-gaps, and he would run it in for the touchdown.

That rushing touchdown is the first of the season for the Steelers. Their red zone opportunities have not been plentiful this year either, as they ran just three plays in the red zone in their three wins this season. It’s a crazy but true stat, as the team has lived off explosive plays from Pickens and other players. But the defense and offense worked well in conjunction to lead Pittsburgh back in front with Watt and Kenny Pickett leading the way for that to occur.
