Steelers Lose Another DB to Injury

UNITY TWP., Pa — The Steelers sustained another injury on Sunday with defensive back Tre Norwood suffering a lower leg injury. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says that Norwood is currently being evaluated. In addition, Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal worked off to the side but did not practice. Tomlin said he was unsure when Kazee would return from his ankle injury.

Meanwhile, Nate Herbig sustained a hand or thumb injury on Saturday but returned for Sunday’s practice. His brother, Nick Herbig, was out with a hip flexor sustained on Saturday. Joey Porter Jr., who had his left ankle taped during practice on Saturday, did not practice on Sunday.

Minkah Fitzpatrick was fully back and participated in team periods. Running back John Lovett did not practice for the fourth straight day. Wide receiver JaMarcus Bradley sustained a hamstring injury that will keep him out for the second straight day of practice. Defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal is still sidelined by his left ankle injury.

However, Larry Ogunjobi did return after missing Saturday. For the most part, many of the guys missing were veterans. Patrick Peterson, Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Isaac Seumalo, Mason Rudolph, Diontae Johnson, and Allen Robinson II all were limited due to veteran days. They did some individual drills but did not go in team drills.
