Steelers Wrap: Interceptions, Dropped Interceptions Loom Large

The Pittsburgh Steelers were poised for a second big upset win in as many weeks, but Kenny Pickett threw two interceptions in the final three minutes of the game and the Miami Dolphins held on for a 16-10 win despite no second-half points.

 Steelers can’t overcome awful start, turnovers; lose to Dolphins 16-10.

 Mike Tomlin broke it down simply: The Dolphins caught their interception attempts, and Pittsburgh dropped several.

 Kenny Pickett explained the “miscommunication” that led to his third pick of the day.

 Rules analyst Terry McAulay said Pickett’s first interception should have been called pass interference.

 Tight end Pat Freiermuth was a frequent target, despite a snap count in his return from the concussion protocol.

 The Steelers left Miami with another injured corner, as Levi Wallace left the game late. T.J. Watt worked out on the field before the game for his most extensive work since knee surgery. Ahkello Witherspoon missed the game.

 Rookie wide receiver George Pickens caught his first career touchdown.

 The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens pulled ahead in the AFC North.
