WATCH: George Pickens Catches First Career Touchdown

Steelers WR George Pickens

George Pickens officially has his first career touchdown. Kenny Pickett hit George Pickens for a 7-yard touchdown catch on a fade ball that was targeted towards the sideline, but Pickens contorted his body to make the grab in bounds.

Pickens has already put together quite a strong night, with 4 receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown. This is just one catch that has made the rookie stand out, but it was also strong placement from Pickett on the throw. That touchdown grab is only the second touchdown reception from a Steelers receiver thus far with Chase Claypool having the other catch from Mitch Trubisky last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pickens caught a touchdown in the preseason against the Seattle Seahawks. Since that time, the endzone has avoided Pickens, who is one of the NFL’s most-hyped-up rookies. Moving forward, it figures that Pittsburgh will try to get Pickens even more involved in their offense.
