Steelers 2023 NFL Draft Georgia Broderick Jones

New Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones has seen his social media profile expand greatly since being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

According to a study by BetPennsylvania.com, Jones’ Instagram profile (@millionairemove) grew by the largest percentage of any first-round pick between April 26 and April 28, 2023.

Jones started draft day with 28,800 followers and ended it with 41,600 followers, an addition of 12,800 new Steelers fans in two days and an increase of 44.4%. Overall, Jones saw the 16th-most new followers of any first-round pick. By May 4, his account had over 62,000 followers.

The former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman has made just one post to take advantage of his newly increased audience, posting a video that his family made for him on his draft day.

Despite Jones’ greatly increased following, he doesn’t have the largest Instagram followership of the Steelers’ 2023 NFL Draft class. That honor belongs to third-round tight end and Jones’ college teammate, Darnell Washington. Washington has 102,000 followers on Instagram.

The next-biggest followers hip belongs to second-round pick Joey Porter Jr., who has 80,600 followers. Fourth0-round Nick Herbig (21,900) is third, followed by second-round defensive tackle Keeanu Benton (17,400), seventh-round cornerback Cory Trice (11,600) and seventh-round offensive lineman Spencer Anderson (4,944).
