Steelers Place Practice Squad WR Steven Sims on COVID-19, Seven Players Now Impacted

The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed wide receiver Steven Sims on the practice squad COVID-19 reserve list, the team announced on Saturday.

Sims is the seventh Steelers player to be placed on the COVID list this week, joining inside linebackers Marcus Allen and Devin Bush, tackle Zach Banner, nose tackle Isaiah Buggs, running back Anthony McFarland Jr. and practice squad guard Malcom Pridgeon.

Sims has played one game with then Steelers this season, playing in five snaps without recording any statistics against the Detroit Lions in Week 10. Sims is in his third NFL season, having previously played 28 games in 2019 and 2020 with Washington, where he caught 61 passes for 575 yards and five touchdowns.
