Three injured Steelers are among the team’s inactive players for Sunday afternoon’s Week 16 contest against the Indianapolis Colts.

Outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi (shoulder), inside linebacker Marcus Allen (stinger), kicker Chris Boswell (groin) were all initially listed as questionable by the team, downgraded to out on Saturday, and are not dressed. Running back Anthony McFarland Jr. (illness) was listed as questionable and is also scratched.

Linebacker Tegray Scales was fully promoted from the practice squad on Saturday and will help to replace Allen. Kicker Matthew Wright will be a gameday activation from the practice squad and replace Boswell.

Adeniyi and Allen were injured during the Steelers’ Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, while Boswell and McFarland were late-week additions to the injury report after being full participants earlier in the week.

The Steelers healthy inactives are third quarterback Josh Dobbs and defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs.

Running back James Conner (quadriceps), guard Kevin Dotson (shoulder) and inside linebacker Vince Williams (COVID-19) are active and expected to return to the starting lineup.
