The Steelers have re-signed veteran tackle Chaz Green to their practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday.

Green joined the Steelers this summer after the start of camp, and worked primarily as a third-team right tackle. He was released as the team made its final cut down to 53 players on Tuesday.

A third-round draft pick out of Florida by the Dallas Cowboys in 2015, Green has also spent time with four different teams, including a lengthy stay in 2020 with the Indianapolis Colts. He has started eight games and played in 37 in his career. With the Colts in 2020, he played in 15 games and started one game, which was against the Steelers.

The Steelers kept just eight offensive linemen on their 53-man roster, so the practice squad players along the line will be likely candidates for game-day elevations to the active roster.

The Steelers also signed defensive lineman Daniel Archibong, wide receiver Rico Bussey, running back Trey Edmundscornerback Mark Gilbert, safety Karl Josephoffensive lineman John Leglueoutside linebacker Christian Miller, guard Malcolm Pridgeon, tight end Kevin Raderrunning back Jaylen Samuelswide receiver Steven SImssafety Donovan Stineroutside linebacker Derrek Teszka, and wide receiver Cody White to their practice squad. The team has one open spot remaining on the 16-player squad.
