With their COVID-19 scare seemingly behind them, the Steelers have released kicker Sam Sloman from their practice squad on Monday.
The team released punter Drue Christman and long snapper Rex Sunahara on Sunday. The team added the three backup specialists as it went through a period of persistent positive COVID-19 tests that saw several regulars go unavailable to the team.
Offensive lineman Joe Haeg was the last of those players, and he was activated from the list on Monday.
Sloman has had two stints with the Steelers, the first due to Chris Boswell being injured on a fake field goal against the Browns. He has not appeared in a game.
To replace Sloman, the Steelers signed defensive end John Simon to their practice squad.
