The Steelers have released offensive tackle Christian DiLauro, the team announced on Saturday.

The Steelers first signed DiLauro to their practice squad on Oct. 15 and he spent the entire offseason with the team, working as a reserve left tackle.

DiLauro, 24, is a first-year tackle out of Illinois. He spent the 2018 preseason with the Cleveland Browns after signing there as an undrafted free agent, but was cut at the end of camp. He spent the 2018 regular season on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad and the 2019 preseason with San Francisco, but was again released before the season. He was on the Houston Texans practice squad until Oct. 1.

DiLauro is the 15th player to be released by the Steelers since the end of training camp on Friday, joining cornerback Trajan Bandy, defensive end Henry Mondeaux, defensive tackle Cavon Walker, outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper, punter Corliss Waitman, quarterback Paxton Lynch, running backs Trey Edmunds, Wendell Smallwood and Kerrith Whyte, Jr., tight end Kyle Markway,and wide receivers Deon Cain,  Saeed BlacknallRyan Switzer and DeAndre Thompkins.
