The Pittsburgh Steelers running game had something of a breakout performance in the team’s 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The Steelers led the NFL in rushing success rate in Week 7, and finally looked like a unit capable of balancing the offense.

It was nice to see them continue searching for answers up front and they were able to consistently stay ahead of the chains. The Steelers got three rushing touchdowns against the Rams after failing to score on the ground in each of the first five games of the season.

“We just started to have some efficiency,” offensive coordinator Matt Canada said. “We started executing at the level we kind of want to do. Started to see that. It was really good for them. You saw how they fed off each other.”

This touchdown run by Jaylen Warren was beautifully blocked and perfectly executed for a huge play in the game. Derrick Bell of Steelers Now broke down the play that changed the game for the Steelers, as Warren’s 13-yard score knotted things up and set the stage for Kenny Pickett’s latest fourth-quarter comeback.
