Steelers 2024 NFL Draft Olu Fashanu

The Pittsburgh Steelers checked some of the top offensive talent in the 2024 NFL Draft class in two games the Steelers sent scouts to on Saturday.

Just up the road in Happy Valley, the Steelers had a scout at Beaver Stadium for the Penn State game against West Virginia.

Penn State tackle Olu Fashanu is generally seen as the top tackle prospect for the 2024 NFL Draft. The Lions also have a handful of well-regarded defenders in cornerback Kalen King, edge rushers Chop Robinson and Aidsa Isaac and linebacker Curtis Jacobs.

Caedan Wallace, who plays opposite of Fashanu, is also a highly sought-after tackle, and Theo Johnson is a tight end worth watching.

West Virginia’s talented group is also led by an offensive lineman, as center Zach Frazier is a potential All-American. Safety Aubrey Burks and defensive end Sean Martin are also draft prospects this year.

The Steelers also got a good look at No. 2 quarterback prospect in the draft class, sending a scout to see the North Carolina game against South Carolina in Charlotte. Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye is a consensus top five pick.

UNC also has a pair of talented linebackers, Cedric Gray and Amari Gainer, and two weapons in the passing game, wide receiver Devontez Walker and tight end Bryson Nesbit. Walker did not play on Saturday, as he is still waiting for a decision on his NCAA eligibility appeal.

The Gamecocks are led by veteran quarterback Spencer Rattler, wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr. and tight end Trey Knox.
