Steelers’ Trubisky Clears Up Name Debate: ‘Mitch Is Fine’
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ newly signed quarterback was born as Mitchell David Trubisky in Mentor, Ohio in 1994. But over the years, various outlets and sources have referred to him alternatively between his given name of Mitchell and the nickname Mitch. So which is it?
In his introductory press conference with the Pittsburgh media on Thursday, Trubisky cleared the matter up once and for all.
“Mitch is fine,” he said.
The 27-year-old officially signed his contract with the Steelers on Thursday and reported to the team’s practice facility to meet with coaches and get his playbook.
The quarterback also announced that he will be wearing No. 10 with the Steelers, and is attempting to get comfortable in Pittsburgh, where he and his wife Hillary are expecting a son to be born soon.
