The Pittsburgh Steelers have not released a further update on the condition of star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster since head coach Mike Tomlin spoke with the media just after Sunday’s 27-19 Pittsburgh win over Denver.

Tomlin said that Smith-Schuster had been taken to a local hospital for evaluation of a right shoulder injury that forced Smith-Schuster from the game just before the half.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he was praying for Smith-Schuster, who appeared to be in a great deal of pain leaving the stadium.

Overnight, Smith-Schuster took to social media to thank those that had reached out to him.

“Thank you for all the prayers and checking in,” he wrote on Snapchat. “God has bigger plans for me.”

He made a similar post, without specifically updating his condition, to Instagram.
