Steelers WR Roman Wilson Remains Limited in Practice
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson remains limited in practice while returning from his ankle injury.
PITTSBURGH โ Despite running at full speed in individual drills and wearing pads for Wednesdayโs padded practice session, Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson was once again give a limited in practice designation by the team on Wednesday.
Wilson, who has been recovering from an ankle injury suffered on the first day of padded practices in training camp, was first listed as a full participant in practice last Thursday, but was limited on Friday.
He was wearing pads for the full-up session on Wednesday, and was running at what looked to be full speed in individual periods, but is still listed as a limited participant.

The Steelers could certainly use a spark for their wide receivers. After George Pickens, the rest of the teamโs wide outs have combined for five catches for 28 yards through two games. Pickens has eight for 114.
Wilson will likely need to get at least one day, and perhaps two days of full practices in over the rest of the week to get the nod from head coach Mike Tomlin. This Steelers will have an opening on their game-day roster, after wide receiver Ben Skowronek was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.

The current WR numbers are not surprising to meโฆ
I expected, coming into the regular season, the type of numbers theyโre producing โ even if Roman wouldโve been healthyโฆ For me, the current WR numbers are good enough, at this portion of the season, to compliment The Pittsburgh Steelersโ Defense, as I always thought they would beโฆ Kudos to Coaches Tomlin and Smith for the initial, conservative offensive gameplansโฆ
Of course, things will need to opened up a bit, going forwardโฆ bit by bitโฆ
The Defense will need to step up against certain oppositional, offensive schemes, as wellโฆ
