T.J. Watt and Wife Dani Make Big Announcement

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt and his wife Dani announced the birth of their first child on Monday.
The couple shared several black and white photos on Instagram of their new baby girl, who’s name is Blakely Marie Watt.
“Worth The Wait. Welcome To The World Blakely Marie Watt!” the caption of the Watts joint Instagram post read.
Watt and his wife announced in November that they will be ambassadors for UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation over the next two years to bring awareness to the future of pediatric healthcare.
The Watts have been frequent visitors at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh over the years. In 2022, the Watts provided Christmas dinner to patients and their families during the holidays.
“As we move into our next chapter of life, parenthood, we are proud to step up for not only our child, but for children all over our community. Dani and I are humbled and excited to announce that we will be ambassadors for UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation over the next two years,” the Watts wrote in a joint statement on Instagram. “As the Foundation embarks on their fundraising campaign, This Moment, we are honored to bring awareness to the future of pediatric healthcare.”
T.J. and Dani, a former professional soccer player, got married on July 9, 2022 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple first met as student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin.
“When I was a little girl I never thought I’d find someone special enough to ever change my last name… But I found him and couldn’t be happier to share a name with the man of my dreams,” Dani wrote on Instagram after their wedding.
Watt’s brother, J.J., announced last month that he and his wife Kealia Ohai Watt are expecting their second child. Watt’s middle brother, Derek Watt and his wife Gabriella are expecting their third child, the couple announced last September.
