Tomlin: Steelers Guard Kevin Dotson Will Practice on Wednesday

UNITY TWP., Pa. — Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that guard Kevin Dotson is fine after he was limited by injury during the team’s training camp practice on Tuesday.

Dotson left practice and sought attention from trainers during Tuesday’s session, getting his right shoulder wrapped late in the practice period.

Tomlin did not address the team’s injuries on Tuesday, but said Wednesday morning that Dotson is fine.

“There’s none,” he said when asked about Dotson’s injury. “He’s fine and he will be out there today.”

Dotson has been battling Nate Herbig to be the top backup behind starters Isaac Seumalo and James Daniels after being the primary starter in 2021 and 2022.

Tomlin also said that all three of his injured safeties — Keanu Neal, Damontae Kazee and Tre Norwood — are considered day to day.

Kazee was injured on July 29 and has started to return from the left ankle issue. He was a limited participant in Tuesday’s session.

Neal has been out with an undisclosed injury and has not returned to action. Norwood suffered a lower leg injury on Aug. 6 and has also not started to return to work.
