What’s the Most Unbreakable NFL Record? | Steelers Morning Rush

NFL

Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it’s the most unbreakable NFL career record.

Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin set the NHL career goal-scoring record over the weekend, surpassing the record set a generation ago by Wayne Gretzky, who was on-hand for the moment. Gretzky’s record was long considered to be unbreakable in NHL circles.

But what would be an unbreakable NFL career record? Unlike other sports, football doesn’t care much about stomping all over its record books, expanding the season from 12 games to 14, 16, 17, someday soon 18 and probably eventually 20.

So what is an NFL record that looks like it’s going to pass the test of time?

Alan breaks it down.
