Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw gave high praise to Kenny Pickett following Pittsburgh’s 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

“I tell you what, Pickett doesn’t throw for a lot of touchdowns yet. In time he will, but he’s the perfect quarterback for this team,” Bradshaw said on the FOX postgame show. “Very selfless type human being. He doesn’t mind handing the ball off. He’s great in the clutch, great under pressure, and you saw that again today. The Steelers on the road after a bye, once again (Mike) Tomlin gets a victory.”

Sunday was Pickett’s sixth game-winning drive and fifth fourth-quarterback comeback of his career. He is now 11-7 (.611 winning percentage) in his 18 starts. In the second half, Pickett completed 11 of 12 passes (91.7%) for 152 yards.

🏈 The Steelers are now 13-4 under Mike Tomlin when coming off a bye week in the regular season. The Steelers have not lost in the following week after a bye since 2016.

🏈 The Steelers had In-N-Out as their postgame snack before flying back to Pittsburgh.

🏈 The Steelers were one of two teams in the NFL that had zero rushing touchdowns prior to Sunday’s game. They recorded three rushing touchdowns against the Rams.

🏈 According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football, the Steelers have only two opening drive touchdowns since the start of 2022, which ranks 31st in the NFL. Only the New York Jets have fewer. They have only three first-half offensive touchdowns in six games. The Baltimore Ravens had four in the first half on Sunday in their win over the Detroit Lions.

🏈 The Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons are the only teams above .500 with a negative point differential. Despite standing at 4-2, the Steelers have been out-scored 103-127.

🏈 Steelers rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig had an impressive get-off on his first career sack.

🏈 Former Steelers strong safety and Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu was in the house at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

🏈 Along with Polamalu, former Steelers inside linebacker James Farrior and cornerback Joe Haden were also at the game to support the Black and Gold. All three former players live in Southern California. Mike Tomlin mentioned after the game and on Instagram that he was appreciative of the Steelers alumni that showed up.

🎂 Happy Birthday to former Steelers safety Sean Davis, born on October 23, 1993 in Washington D.C. Also, Happy Birthday to former Steelers quarterback Mike Tomczak, born on October 23, 1962 in Calumet City, Illinois.
