Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered a left leg injury on a 4th down sack and limped off the field into the blue medical tent. Pickett was helped off by trainers and limped heavily off the field. Texans defensive end Jonathan Greenard sacked Pickett with all his weight coming down on Pickett’s left leg. Pickett clutched his left knee following the sack.

Kenny Pickett came out of the blue medical tent and immediately headed to the locker room following the injury. That means that Mitch Trubisky is set to come into the game, with Pickett ruled out for the rest. It was a tumultuous game with Pickett at the helm. He finished the game with just 114 passing yards on 15 completions with 23 attempts. Pittsburgh has only scored six points to this point in the fourth quarter.

The Steelers have tried to find a solution to their offensive issues but have not found any. Pickett now exiting the game will not help that cause, regardless of his up-and-down play this season. That’s the third offensive player the Steelers have lost this week in Houston. Pat Freiermuth and Dan Moore Jr. were ruled out with hamstring and knee injuries. Diontae Johnson remains on injured reserve with a hamstring injury of his own.
