Steelers Starting Lineman Suffers Injury

PITTSBURGH — Steelers left tackle Dan Moore Jr. suffered a knee injury to the same knee he injured earlier in the season. The injury occurred on a free play sack where Mitch Trubisky got hit back into the legs of Moore. He walked off gingerly and was replaced by the rookie Broderick Jones. Moore is standing on the sidelines with his helmet on, so it appears he could return, but much of it will depend upon the game flow and how bad the injury is after the initial evaluation.

Jones played most of the Steelers game against the Texans and started against the Ravens with Moore out. Moore took over after the team’s bye week when he felt fully healthy. Moore joins a long list of injuries that have plagued Pittsburgh all day so far.

Diontae Johnson exited briefly before returning. Quarterback Kenny Pickett (ribs) and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) both will not return to the game after suffering their injuries. The Steelers came into the game without cornerback Levi Wallace, who is dealing with a foot injury he sustained against the Los Angeles Rams last week.

Pittsburgh has missed multiple players on the offensive line throughout the year. One of those players is Moore, but James Daniels has also missed time. Jones coming in is not new for the unit, but just another shake-up they will sustain.
