PITTSBURGH — Steelers QB Kenny Pickett was seen in the locker room on Monday without a knee brace on his injured left knee. He is wearing a compression sleeve on the injured knee. While Pickett had a slight limp, the quarterback appeared in good spirits after suffering a reported MCL sprain in that knee on a fourth down sack by Texans defensive Jonathan Greenard.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network does not believe that the injury is season-ending, and his ACL was spared, but at the very least, Pickett will likely miss the team’s upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens. Walking around without a brace would add belief that the injury is not too severe.

The Steelers have a bye week following their game against the Ravens before they travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams. The Steelers will likely sit Kenny Pickett in favor of playing Mitch Trubisky for their divisional clash against the Ravens. That’s a cherry on top of the team’s struggles coming out of their loss to the Texans, with injuries racking up and a team with little to no identity.

Pittsburgh will get an MRI done on his injured knee on Monday to determine just how much damage there is to his knee. Left tackle Dan Moore Jr. has a brace on his right knee injury that he suffered early in the team’s game against the Texans.

Pickett was helped off by trainers and limped heavily off the field. Greenard sacked Pickett with all his weight coming down on Pickett’s left leg. Pickett clutched his left knee following the sack. It was a tumultuous game with Pickett at the helm. He finished the game with just 114 passing yards on 15 completions with 23 attempts. Pittsburgh has only scored six points to this point in the fourth quarter.

Kenny Pickett being hurt only expounds on the team’s injuries this year. With the team trying to find something to lean on offensively, Pickett’s injury makes that task much harder. He’s not the only injury, with Diontae Johnson, James Daniels, Pat Freiermuth, and Dan Moore Jr. all down with injuries. Those injuries deplete a unit that has yet to find its footing, averaging just 12.5 points per game in their first four games offensively.
